How do you choose a favorite ?

A bit of a heavy post here as there is so much I need to share.

A new month means new challenges at Stampalot and Penny Black at Allsorts and some new about something going on over at Allsorts challenge, so read on.

The June theme at Stampalot is 'Photo Inspiration' - a lovely field of poppies and daisies and at Penny Black at Allsorts 'Your my Favourite'...........I have only myself to blame here, I ask you......... how is it possible to pick a favourite Penny Black stamps ? I can't as there are so many, so in the end decided I would opt for a finished card that I particularly like.

The top card is my DT piece for Stampalot challenge. I masked a piece of Frabico watercolour card, stamped Sheen Douglas daisies in white, then inked the whole piece with TH sage, masked the daisies, stamped Hero Arts S5316 Silhouette Grass in the background using TH tea dye, then overstamped with Hero CL449 and coloured the poppies with Copics.

For my Penny Black piece, a lovely slapstick stamp Penny Black 20-025 Thinking of You, coloured with Copics and decoupaged. The DP is October Afternoon and the flower created using a Cuttlebug quilling die set.

The piece above is not a card at all as it ended up rather too large, so in the end I just mounted it onto a piece of heavy card which probably works better as it is a Stampalot sample. The little girl on the left with her easel are both stamps from the new Molly Blloms range here along with others from previous releases. I drew the hills in by hand and the fence and tree are Magnolia everything is coloured with Aquamarkers.
And last nut not least I need to let everyone know that we have a DT call going on over at Allsorts. It will run for two weeks from today and if you pop over the the challenge blog you will fin all the details there. Please grab the logo above and help spread the word.

Beautiful cards Brenda, but my fave has to be the scene that you have created. It is fabulous, must have taken a fair bit of time too! The colours you have chosen to colour with remind me of summer in the countryside. Hugs from Heidi x

Hi Brenda...well what can I say but Thank you for asking me to join you all this month. I was up at 5:30...not on purpose, Kip decided she wanted to go and jump into James bed but his door was shut so after several minutes hearing her whine I got up and opened his door for her...
She did me a favour, as you know I have never been brill at sheduling posts, so it gave me time to sort and link everything for the challenge...I am yawning like a good eh now though...lol I think I will sleep well tonight...lol Not for long though, James car is in for an MOT so gotta get up at the crack of dawn to drive him to the motorway junction to grab a lift with a work pal...

I did manage to decorate Mum's spare room without falling off anything...lol Tomorrow I am taking her to Ikea to look at furniture...Me thinks she's gonna be treating me there cuz I love there storage for craft...lol

Thank you so much for asking me to join you all this month, it was way nerve racking because your all so amazingly talented. I did manage to get a glimps of all the teams designs first thing, I feel so privilaged to be joining you and love everyones take on the theme....they are all so different and totally gorgeous....I feel really privilaged to be part of your team...

Thank you xxxx

Goodness - such a lot here. The poppies, diaises & the butterfly just make the first one my favourite & I sat & just looked at all the techniques in it. Love that butterfly - daisies, poppies & butterflies are amongst my favourites. Then to green in the second - one of my favourite colours & all your detail with this is delightful. Shall have to go check those Molly Blooms - somehow they keep popping up under my nose at present.......
Hope you've recovered a bit from all the visitors.

What a fantastic array of cards Brenda, all of them different in style. Love the intensity and the stamping of the first one. The second one is my favourite, the 3D effect and the colours are just fabulous, the scene is beautifully done on the third card.

Oh Brenda these are all so lovely. Love how you decoupage stamped images...I never think to do that. That last scene is so wonderful and I am always at how beautifully you colour with the aquamarkers. I always find mine come out very dark. Yours are lovely a pastely.
